Steel blue and moss green vines carry blossoms in rust red, gold and black across an oatmeal beige field, with a border that deliberately steps outside its own lines. The Inverness design has the feel of a stained-glass window and suits a traditional or eclectic room.
Founded by James Tufenkian in New York, the brand hand-cards, hand-spins and hand-knots its rugs in Nepal from Tibetan highland wool that keeps its natural lanolin, which helps the pile resist soil and stains.
From the maker: Tufenkian compares Inverness to a stained-glass window for the floor: an Arts and Crafts border design whose vines, in steel blue and moss green, carry blossoms in rust red, yellow and black over an oatmeal-beige field.

Hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs show slight variations in colour, pattern and dimension; they are part of the piece. Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate once or twice a year, and use a rug pad on hard floors. Blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth; for anything more, use a professional rug cleaner.

We ship within Canada from our Winnipeg warehouse. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and shipping is calculated at checkout by destination and rug size. All sales are final: because every rug is one of a kind, we cannot offer returns or exchanges, so please ask us for extra photos or a video before you order. If a rug arrives damaged, email photos of the rug and packaging to contact@bmdmaterials.com within 48 hours of delivery and we will start a carrier claim with you.
