Designer Kevin Walz's Prati is an elegant, rhythmic design with staccato bursts of colour. In the Maple colourway a light sandy brown field carries accents in rich ruby red and dark chocolate, a refined piece for a bedroom, office or living room.
Founded by James Tufenkian in New York, the brand hand-cards, hand-spins and hand-knots its rugs in Nepal from Tibetan highland wool that keeps its natural lanolin, which helps the pile resist soil and stains.
From the maker: Prati was designed for Tufenkian by Kevin Walz: an elegant, musical rug with staccato bursts of silk. Maple has a light sandy-brown wool field, hand-knotted in the brand's finest Shakti weave.

Hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs show slight variations in colour, pattern and dimension; they are part of the piece. Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate once or twice a year, and use a rug pad on hard floors. Blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth; for anything more, use a professional rug cleaner.

We ship within Canada from our Winnipeg warehouse. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and shipping is calculated at checkout by destination and rug size. All sales are final: because every rug is one of a kind, we cannot offer returns or exchanges, so please ask us for extra photos or a video before you order. If a rug arrives damaged, email photos of the rug and packaging to contact@bmdmaterials.com within 48 hours of delivery and we will start a carrier claim with you.
