Bamboo Forest sets tall blue and green bamboo stalks against an ebony-black wool field, with leaves in rust, orange, taupe and beige that give the design its autumnal warmth. Tufenkian weaves it in a textural construction with a pile under half an inch. It is a bold, painterly rug for a modern living room or a large entry where the floor can be the artwork.
Founded by James Tufenkian in New York, the brand hand-cards, hand-spins and hand-knots its rugs in Nepal from Tibetan highland wool that keeps its natural lanolin, which helps the pile resist soil and stains.

Hand-knotted and hand-tufted rugs show slight variations in colour, pattern and dimension; they are part of the piece. Vacuum without a beater bar, rotate once or twice a year, and use a rug pad on hard floors. Blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth; for anything more, use a professional rug cleaner.

We ship within Canada from our Winnipeg warehouse. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and shipping is calculated at checkout by destination and rug size. All sales are final: because every rug is one of a kind, we cannot offer returns or exchanges, so please ask us for extra photos or a video before you order. If a rug arrives damaged, email photos of the rug and packaging to contact@bmdmaterials.com within 48 hours of delivery and we will start a carrier claim with you.
